When perusing available locations on AirBnB a post might catch your eye if the price is less than $100 and features a great view and some "fancy" amenities like access to laundry services, microwave and more...
You would have been sadly mistaken though, once you realized that it was a listing for a dorm room! Excuse me?Does that mean you get a discount if your "dorm roomie" for the weekend wakes you up abruptly in the middle night stumbling in from the after party?! Probably not, nor will you be laying your head in this college student's dorm at University of Massachusetts! Even though this college student was obviously trying to make some extra cash - posting the dorm room on AirBnB was not the smartest thing to do. The post has since been taken down and the University Spokesman had this to say, “It’s against our policy for lots of good reasons,” he told Western Mass News. “We don’t want people who are not a part of the university community to be in those buildings unless they are a friend or guest of someone. You really can’t make money off of [the] university.”
