Our favorite Thanksgiving tradition is still going!
In 2015, Wanda thought she was texting her grandson an invite to Thanksgiving dinner. However, she accidentally texted the wrong number and got Jamal Hinton instead! Jamal joined Wanda and her husband Lonnie for Thanksgiving dinner and has kept up the tradition ever since.
In 2020, Wanda and Lonnie were diagnosed with COVID-19 and Lonnie sadly did not make it. However, Wanda and Jamal keep his memory alive and will be celebrating their 7th Thanksgiving together this year.
