Oakland School District Holds Meeting To Resume In-Person Classes

With Gavin Newsom lifting regional stay-at-home orders and Bay Area counties gearing up to reopen, schools are developing plans to resume in-person classes.

The Oakland Unified School District had previously planned to begin in-person classes on January 25th (yesterday), but obviously did not follow through due to the COVID surge over the holidays. Because the stay-at-home orders have been lifted and ICU capacity has improved, OUSD hosted an informational meeting last night regarding their plans for reopening.
