People Demanding Change In These Eight Polices To Decrease Police Violence

Cities around the United States are standing up to change eight policies to reduce police violence. If these policies are followed, it can reduce police violence by 72%.

The eight policies ask for police to:

  • Ban chokeholds & strangleholds
  • require de-escaltion
  • require warning before shooting
  • exhaust all alternatives before shooting
  • duty to intervene
  • ban shooting at moving vehicles
  • establish use of force continuum
  • require all force be reported.
