San Francisco To Give Voting Rights To Sixteen And Seventeen Year Olds

San Francisco supervisors will be introducing a charter amendment that will allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote in the city's municipal elections. This would make San Francisco the first major city in the United States to allow someone under the age of 18 to vote.

All the voter qualifications must be met, besides the age requirement. They would have to register to vote with the city's Department of Elections.
