The U.S. State Department has issued a 'Level Four' travel warning, urging Americans to avoid all international travel.
The Department also instructed Americans living outside the United States to "arrange for immediate return" or else prepare to remain where they are indefinitely.
The statement warns that other countries are enacting travel bans or closing borders with little advance notice and could leave travelers stranded abroad.
