Restaurant Employee Sent Home For Refusing To Remove Hijab

An employee at a Chicken Express restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas says she was sent home after refusing to take off her hijab.

22-year-old Stefanae Coleman says her manager told her to "take off anything that doesn't involve Chicken Express". She recorded video in which her manager told her it was a dress code issue and that "your job has nothing to do with religion".

An attorney for Chicken Express called the incident a "mistake" by the manager due to "lack of training". The store says Coleman was paid for her missed time and that the company dress code will be changed to allow for religious clothing.

Have you ever faced religious or any other kind of discrimination at work? Did Chicken Express handle the situation correctly?
