Nike Creates Shoes For Medical Professionals & Donating 100% Of Proceeds

The latest Nike shoe is not influenced by a basketball player or a Hip-Hop star. The shoe is made for medical workers.

The Nike Air Zoom Pulse is designed for "everyday heroes" like doctors, nurses, paramedics, and medical aides.

Nike studied activity at a children's hospital in Portland. They were able to see the challenges that medical staff see daily like liquid spills and long hours standing.

In a statement, Nike said, "The fit, cushioning and traction systems work together to secure the foot in all hospital conditions."

The shoes are expected to hit shelves on Dec. 7, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the six versions designed by patients will go back to the hospital.
