Queen Latifah honored by Harvard for her contributions to black culture

Queen Latifah contribution to black culture cannot really be measured.

However, she received an award Tuesday from Harvard University for it.

Queen Latifah was awarded the W.E.B. Dubois Medal which is the university's highest honor in the field of African American studies.

W.E.B. Dubois was the first black person to receive a doctoral degree from Harvard.
