Builders in Oakland are on track to build more new housing units than San Francisco this year- for the first time ever!
This is a huge change, because The Town has always built way less residential housing than The City.
Builders want to bring in high-paid Millennials with amenities like yoga studios, swimming pools, and dog-washing facilities. They also are including six weeks of free rent or a $1,000 signing bonus.
