The days of Homer Simpson strangling his son Bart are over. Showrunners for The Simpsons have decided to axe the cartoon child abuse in a declaration made by Homer during the 3rd episode of season 35, where Homer said to his new neighbor, " I don't do that anymore. Times have changed." Fans of the show took this as a tease from Disney, who now owns the franchise, and have gone back and forth with the idea for years. The last time Homer made the Gesture to his son was in 2019/2020, but it's safe to say that it won't happen again, and some fans aren't happy with the decision.
