Tory Lanez Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Shooting Meg Thee Stallion

Moments ago, singer/rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in state prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. The Canadian rapper, who was found guilty last year, shot her several times in the feet during an argument about their music careers and relationships. “He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma,” Megan Thee Stallion wrote in a statement that was read in court on Monday. Tory Lanez was convicted in December of three felony counts — assault with a semiautomatic handgun; carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. Tory was facing a maximum of 22 years and eight months in prison. His lawyers argued for probation while prosecution asked that he receive 13 years.
