Police in Oakland are looking into a shooting that left three people, including a child, hospitalized. It occurred at a Pop Warner football game on Sunday afternoon at Oakland Technical High School, according to witnesses.
The victims or any suspect details are not being released by Oakland police. The shooting comes after protesters in East Bay on Friday asked people to put down their weapons as they walked the streets.
Around 1:15 on Sunday afternoon, according to Oakland police, they responded to reports of gunfire and numerous victims on Broadway. People watching an Oakland Dynamites Pop Warner football game claim the incident occurred close to Oakland Tech High School, though OPD has not confirmed the precise location.
Video emerged on social media appearing to show the aftermath of the shooting. An Instagram post captioned:
