Police in Oakland are looking for the man who they claim tried multiple times on Tuesday to kidnap a 2-year-old from a bus stop.
An unidentified man allegedly tried to kidnap a 2-year-old child who was with their mother waiting for an AC Transit bus near High Street and International Boulevard, according to the Oakland Police Department. It took place at about 12:30 p.m.
The suspect attacked the toddler's mother after multiple failed efforts to take the infant, according to the officer, before a kind stranger stepped in.
According to the authorities, the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect in the case, seen by Oakland police, is a Hispanic man who is between 40 and 50 years old, 5'10" tall, and 280 pounds.
He was dressed in a black pair of pants, a red and blue shirt, and a blue Cal cap.
