Mariah Carey Sued For Allegedly Stealing "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

Mariah Carey has long been the Queen of Christmas since the 90's and now another artist is claiming she stole their song name.

Andy Stone, a musician, is suing Mariah Carey, for allegedly plagiarizing his song "All I Want For Christmas Is You." He's suing for copyright, alleging she didn't have his permission to use his songs name in her song, which is one of the most popular Christmas tunes of all time.

Andy alleges that his song of the same name was recorded in 1989, released in 1990, and rose to fame in 1993 with a Billboard chart entry over the holiday season. According to the lawsuit, Mariah was inspired by his song and went on to write the mega-hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You," which has gone on to break records and made Mariah Carey millions.

Andy is suing for $20 million in damages from Mariah Carey claiming she did not have permission to use the same song title. There's no denying Mariah Carey's version is the only version any of us ever heard before. Check out both tracks and drop a comment with your thoughts!
