Heartbreaking news out of San Leandro. A single father of 3 was hit and killed by a man driving a stolen pickup truck, while on the job working at a San Leandro golf-course as a landscaper. He was rear ended on the lawn mower at high speeds ejecting the victim and hitting the pavement. He died days later.
The victim was identified as Ismael Hernandez, a single father of the three.
Police say the driver had been reported for erratic driving prior to the hit and run. They later arrested 43-year-old Jason McDermott for the hit and run, vehicular manslaughter and more.
