USPS Suspend Mail Service For A Cali Neighborhood Due To Assaults & Threats

Ohhh these people are crazy! USPS sent letters to a Santa Monica neighborhood informing them they were suspending mail service in the area due to ongoing harassment, assaults and threats! The USPS said they did not come to the decision lightly but made the decision in the best interest of their carriers. The attacks and threats have been happening for weeks. One neighbor witnessed a mail carrier have their cart kicked over with mail all over the street as a man threatened him with a golf club or bat.

Residents affected are frustrated because police aren't able to arrest the persons responsible for the dangerous environment. Residents are hopeful police will arrest the suspect so service can return. Packages are still being delivered but residents must go to the local office to get their routine mail.
