Men Busted for Installing Devices on Gas Pumps Lowered Prices to Pennies

Let's be real. With skyrocketing gas prices if people learn how these guys were able to do it, more people will try! 4 men in Florida were arrested after they were able to install tampering devices on a gas pump which would not accurately count the amount of gas pumped.

According to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the suspect’s allegedly installed devices called “pulsators” inside multiple gas station pumps around Tampa, Fl. "Pulsators" are devices that regulate fuel price and flow, thus they can and did send the price-per-gallon to barely a penny when operated correctly. This allowed the men to allegedly fill up their tanks nearly for free and even resell the gas they stole. The fraud was carried out at two Circle K locations in Florida.

“It changes the price but keeps the gallons the same, so they can change the amount that they’re being charged down to a nickel or down or a penny a gallon, and they could pump 100 gallons,” president of the Florida Department of Agriculture, Ned Bowman said.

They better hope people in California don't catch wind of how to do this!
