FDA Authorizes FIRST Pill To Treat Covid-19!

The US Food and Drug Administration has authorized Pfizer's antiviral pill, Paxlovid, to treat Covid-19 in high-risk individuals age 12 and older who weigh at least 88 pounds. This is the first preventative at home oral treatment that individuals can take to attempt to mitigate by reducing the severity, hospitalization and death as a result of Covid. The pill is said to be effective if taken within 8 days of contracting Covid. Pfizer advises to take the pill twice a day Pfizer stated they plan to ramp up distribution and production of the new drug, yet they may have to prioritize based on need.

This after California just reinstated their mask policy as the Omicron variant spreads in California. Will you take this new medication if you catch Covid?
