Oakland Whole Foods Blasted For Employee FALSELY Accusing Woman Of Stealing

Here we go again. Video is going viral appearing to show a woman at a Oakland Whole Foods Market, being accused of stealing. In the video the woman is reasonably upset after she claims the deli employee chased her out the store to her car, opened her door and snatched the meat she had just purchased. She clearly states she paid for the meat and had the receipt to prove it.

The woman continues to explain how terrified she was and how the deli employee scared "the holt $hit" out of her for accusing her of stealing and opening her car door! The man states in the video he's sorry and "resigning right now." He seemingly did not want to address the woman for his mistake as he is seen then walking away from the manager and the victim.

The woman continues to talk to the manager whom asks her to stop recording yet states he understands why she's upset.

This unfortunately is not unique in the bay area. A young child at Safeway in San Francisco was also accused of stealing a sandwich, which he indeed paid for, as he exited the store.

Comments on the video from Bay Area residents allude to an alleged pattern of behavior at this particular Whole Foods Market. Check out some of the comments below.

It is so important to hear her repeatedly say how scared she felt. We as Black women (bc of conditioning) don’t think to say things around our vulnerability and are not believed when we do. I’m really glad she stressed that. I hope she gets taken good care of or sues the pants off them fools. And I’m glad butcher man knew he axed his career with that move. Plus, I’m like did he wear his bloody gloves and coming grabbing out of her car. WTEF!!!!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬

I’ve worked at Whole Foods for 2 years. They hire loss prevention and secret shoppers for this reason. If we “suspect”someone of stealing, we let loss prevention handle it. We don’t. That’s ridiculous

To be clear yes all of Whole Foods should be liable AND this is the store on Harrison near Grand Lake, highly regarded as the hardest store to work at in the company but also a location with a history of anti-Blackness toward patrons AND employees. Not too long ago, a little black boy was shot by security there and though they returned security to where it is so easy to steal, that low ass retail paycheck is not worth going after a customer for merch. Sue them, sue them, SUUUUUE THEEEEEM!!!@wholefoodsain’t shit!!!
