Bay Area rapper and entrepreneur Berner informed fans recently he would be stepping away as he was recently diagnosed with cancer. Yesterday, Berner announced he would have to undergo surgery today due to the cancer.
Hip Hop legend Bun B heard the news took to his Instagram to pleaded for fans to show their support for Berner by "smoking one for Berner at 4:20pm." He wrote:
This is my brother @berner415 I’ve known him for many years. He’s an extremely genuine person who would give you the shirt off his back. He’s currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis and has to go into the hospital tomorrow. So he can’t smoke. But we can smoke for him! Tomorrow at 4:20 wherever you are, please post a picture of you smoking in your story and tag @berner415 with the hashtag #Smoke1ForBerner so you can send him some love and support and give cancer the middle finger at the same time! #fuckcancer
Berner saw the message and responded writing: Love you big brother! Solid ! I appreciate the energy and positivity.
Fans also got the message and of course, smoked one for Berner to show their support. No news yet on Berners condition post surgery yet we want to send Berner nothing but positive vibes, love and a speedy recovery during this challenging time.
