Frank Somerville was recently suspended indefinitely after reportedly wanting to address "disparities in media coverage of white and Black crime victims," according to the San Francisco Chronicle. This came about while reporting on the Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito homicide case.
Somerville's suspension has gained national attention. So much so, Beyonce's own mother, Tina Knowles, has posted on her Instagram about the situation.
Fans are also rallying together in support of Somerville, saying they will boycott the station until he is reinstated.
