A suspected drunk driver in Oakland was caught on camera running a red light and slamming into a van filled with children. The driver hit another car before coming to a stop.
Some witnesses ran to the van's aid, while some ran over to the drunk driver, who reportedly looked like he was getting ready to run.
Two children, who were allegedly unbuckled, were thrown from the van and are in critical condition at the hospital. According to KTVU:
In all, police say 10 people were transported to hospitals, six of them were children in the van, including a 9- and 2-year-old who were thrown from the vehicle.
The driver is reportedly being charged with a DUI, hit and run, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.
