Fans couldn't help but notice how Nelly rushed across stage to greet Ashanti during last night's Verzuz battle.
According to Fat Joe, once the battle was announced Nelly called and said he had to be there because he wanted to see Ashanti! Joe continued saying he couldn't say no or anything because he needed them both to be there.
Ashanti reacted to the news and Nelly's excitement by stating she hadn't spoken to him since they broke up nearly 7 years ago. She went on to say that while it was a nice gesture and she's happy the two of them are cool, she indeed has a boyfriend and is not interested in resparking an old flame. Better luck next time!
