Bay Area schools were already short teachers before the pandemic and just weeks before the start of the new school year, several schools are struggling to find staff.

ABC 7 reports that Mount Diablo Unified School District is struggling due to educators retiring or resigning, while some making career changes or relocate out of the Bay Area. Additionally, the San Francisco Unified School District is looking to hire at least 100 paraeducators and is hoping to fill these positions with virtual hiring fairs.

Despite offering signing bonuses, cutting the credential process and more, finding educators is becoming a big problem in the Bay Area.
