The Washington NFL team has yet to find a new name and will be going by 'Washington Football Team'. It will be using this name to replace their former name 'Washington Redskins'.
Effective immediately, Washington will call itself the “Washington Football Team”, pending adoption of a new name, sources tell ESPN. This is not a final renaming and rebranding for team; this is the name it wants to use until pending adoption of a new name in the future.
The team will continue to keep their colors, burgundy and gold. The Redskins logo on their helmet will be replaced by the players number in gold.
