The Watsonville community got together on April 11 to show their appreciation for the field workers. Families gathered early in the morning and drove around nine different fields honking their horns, clapping their hands, and showing thank you signs in Spanish.
Field workers have gone to work everyday since the lockdown and have helped provide food for various states in the U.S. People on Facebook posted pictures and videos showing how thankful they are for the essential field workers.
Thank you to all the campesinos who are putting their lives on the line to ensure that America is being fed during these dark and confusing times.
