You Can See The Blood Moon Eclipse In The Bay Area On Sunday

Get ready to see a blood moon/lunar eclipse on Sunday night!

According to SF GATE, the eclipse will begin on Sunday, May 15 around 6:32pm. Gerald McKeegan, adjunct astronomer with the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland, said "Maximum totality will occur in evening twilight at 8:29 p.m."

Lunar eclipses are safe to view directly with your eyes.
