JAPAN-LIFESTYLE-ENTERTAINMENT-POKEMON

It's that time of the year Pokemon fans!

The Pikachu Outbreak is celebrated in Japan during the summer. There are three nightly performances using the latest LED technology and water fountains including lights and a Pikachu/Eevee parade.

This year it will be going on from August 6 to August 12 in a little town called Minato Mirai in Yokohama, Japan located about twenty minutes from Tokyo. As soon as you get off on the subway you can see various Pikachu and Eevee decorations all over including icy treats to beat the heat.

One of the nightly performance is called Minato Mirai Sea, which includes various Pikachu's dressed in LED lights dancing with the Yokohama Bay Bridge in the background and water fountains with lights in the foreground. Get a closer look with the videos below.

The second performance is the Minato Mirai City. This has Pikachus dancing with a giant projection in the background of the Yokohama Museum of Art.

The third performance includes about fifty Pikachu dancing! This is called the Minato Mirai Forest performance located at Rinko Park.

The Pikachu and Eevee parade goes on during the day and the rest of the performances at night, all free of charge for the public to enjoy! For more information about this annual even go to the Yokohama City Visitor Guide HERE. Also, check out the Pikachu Outbreak event page.
