Oakland Filipino Restaurant Owner Killed, Community Raises $40K+ For Son

Oakland is mourning the loss of Jun Anabo, the co-owner of popular Filipino restaurant, Lucky Three Seven.

Anabo's sister, Analyn Novenario, created a GoFundMe to support his son, Kiah. She said, "My brother hated talking about death, but he did want me to make sure that Kiah reached his happiness whether its college or his other passions. The very fiber in me wants to make this happen."

Funds raised would support Kiah's college and future endeavors. As of Friday morning, the GoFundMe surpassed its $20,000 goal and currently stands at $42,575.

According to KTVU, Anabo was shot outside of his restaurant on Wednesday night and later died from his injuries at Highland Hospital. His son reportedly witnessed the horrific event.

Lucky Three Seven has announced they will be closed indefinitely.
