After reports that a village employee at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics apparently tested positive for COVID last week, now an alternate on the US women's gymnastics team has tested positive in a training camp in Japan!
No reports as to whether Simon Biles and her other teammates were isolated from the person who contracted COVID or not but it does cause one to wonder with the Delta variant running rampant and COVID still showing up how long can the Olympics really continue to take place.
Is it possible that the community will decide that it is just simply unsafe for all involved to continue the games? We'll continue to watch the reports and hope for the best for our athletes and participants.
