Kuinini "Nini" Manumua was born in American Samoa, spent much of her childhood in Tonga and moved to San Francisco when she was 10. Now, she will be making history as the first female weightlifter to represent Tonga.
Manumua started her weightlifting journey at Lincoln High School and is now studying business as San Francisco State University, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
