A Black Lives Matter mural in Palo Alto has caused police officers to sue the city.
According to NBC Bay Area:
Five officers have sued the city of Palo Alto, saying it allowed the creation of a Black Lives Matter mural with anti-police images that constituted harassment and discrimination against law enforcement.
The lawsuit states that the mural glorified a cop killer, displayed the logo of the New Black Panthers and more.
The mural, created in June 2020, was supposed to be up for a year, but was removed by November 2020.
