Stephen Curry will not be joining Team USA at the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan this year.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Curry highly values resting in the offseason and spending time off the court:
“It just wasn’t right for me, and I’m very confident in that decision. No regrets at all.”
Though he isn't on this year's team, Curry hopes they bring home the gold:
"I respect every single guy that goes and plays that’s out there in Vegas, and I wish them all the success and a gold medal to show for it and whatnot."
Draymond Green is currently training for the Olympics representing the Golden State Warriors. Coach Steve Kerr will also be joining Green as part of the coaching staff. Training camp started on Tuesday in Las Vegas.
