An elderly man was allegedly slapped in the face at a Hayward gas station after the attacker repeatedly asked if he was Asian.
Krista Valdez posted on her Facebook reporting the incident, saying the elderly man didn't speak English and didn't understand what the attacker was asking him. After the attacker slapped the elderly man in the face, he was "chased off by workers and the cops were called." The police reportedly never showed up.
Valdez ended the post sharing her thoughts and asking the community for help:
"This is awful and I can't even believe this happened. This needs to stop. #StopAsianHate #StopAllHate if you know this man he needs, he needs help with his hateful heart. All of my Bay Area people keep an eye out for him. Share his picture so people know about him."
