Moms of Magnolia street is a documentary-series that is dropping tomorrow on the NBC Bay Area app, Roku, Apple TV and nbcbayarea.com on the movement Moms 4 Housing that took place in Oakland November 2019.
Dominique Walker, Tolani King, Misty Cross and Caroll Fife illegally occupied a house on Magnolia Street in Oakland and brought national attention to the issues of displacement, homelessness and corporate take overs of inner city neighborhoods.
The documentary-series follows the moms' movement in just trying to provide shelter for their children but also making a stand that would make history right here in the Bay Area.
Shout out to NBC BayArea productions for putting this together. I will for sure be watching!
