Dr. Gregory Marcus conducted a study in which 300 participants in 37 states participated and found that weight gain over the pandemic could be worse than previously predicted.
Dr. Marcus reports that "clicking on one Zoom link to another doesn't burn a lot of calories". A combination of Zoom meetings, binge watching and snacking has contributed to the already unhealthy status of a good number of Americans.
As any doctor will tell you, it is important to stay physically active. Dr. Marcus says it is optimal to get your heart rate up for at leas 20-30 minutes a day to avoid heart disease in many forms.
