The $600 tax credit that Gov Newsom proposed last month has been approved and is awaiting his signature!
What does this mean to you and your family? Well a possible $1200 check for qualifying households but you must FILE YOUR TAXES in order to receive the check!!
These are the people that qualify! People making $30K or less, immigrants who pay taxes making $75K a year or less after deductions. People who receive assistance from programs assisting low income families and those with disabilities. Some people will fit in to 2 categories and will receive $1200 not $600.
People who are eligible for payments should receive the funds between 45-60 days after receiving their state tax refund.
