The Weeknd was of course the halftime performer for this years Super Bowl where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9. Fans had some choice words for The Weeknd saying that he looked like he was having an episode from his head jerking and movements but I thought it was in true Weeknd form! His back up dancers with their faces fully bandaged also was a source of criticism. His story line behind the song in question revolves around how fame has it's way with you essentially, making you willing to transform yourself for Hollywood attention.
Here's what he told Variety about the theme, "The significance of the entire head bandages is reflecting on the absurd culture of Hollywood celebrity and people manipulating themselves for superficial reasons to please and be validated".
