2021 is bringing new laws to California.
Here are some of the laws going into effect 2021:
- Assembly Bill 685: Employers must provide written notice to all employees within 1 day of possible exposure. Employees must also be provided with information about worker’s comp, paid sick leave, and anti-retaliation policies.
- AB 1196: Prohibits police from using chokehold and carotid holds
- AB 979: Mandates corporate boards of public companies with California headquarters to have at least one female director
