The San Francisco Board of Supervisors have now approved the Caution Against Racial and Exploitative Non-Emergencies Act, known as the CAREN Act. This will ban calls to 911 that discriminate someone’s race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion.
