Poppin' Twins joined us in a Zoom interview to talk about the message to their latest song with the San Francisco African American Arts and Cultural District.
Being teenagers during the pandemic, they want to let people know that COVID-19 is real and people need to be more conscious.
I wasn't used to wearing a mask but for the last 7 months you have to wear a mask...You can't go outside without a mask, you can't go into a store without a mask...Just wear your mask! It's not that hard, people are dying.
Poppin' Twins also emphasized that people don't take this virus seriously until one of your own gets infected. They want to make sure people are doing their part and washing their hands, using hand sanitizer, and wear a mask when around people.
The San Francisco African American Arts and Cultural District put together a group of young SF hip hop artists to make a music video that speaks directly to youth staying healthy during COVID-19.
