Tiffany Johnson was jogging around a neighborhood in Queens, New York when a white woman threw a glass bottle at her. The woman also shouted racial slurs and yelled at Johnson to go back to Africa.
Johnson walked away and didn't pay attention to the woman. She told local news,
As a Black woman, I'm always cautious because I know that the color of my skin is triggering for certain people. At the time, I felt it was race-related, but looking back at this video is 100 percent confirmation of a hate crime.
NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is looking for the suspect and has launched and investigation. Johnson said she is not going back to that neighborhood.
