A Milpitas couple captured a video of racists man yelling anti asian slurs at them. The couple said this wasn't the first time they have encountered people yelling anti asian words at them but it was the first time they captured it on video. The incidents happened at the town center Safeway parking lot.
Milpitas Mayor, Rich Tran, posted talked about the incident on facebook saying,
Hate cannot defeat hate, only love can defeat hate. I only hope we can bring awareness and education when folks in our society make the wrong decisions or mistakes. that’s the only way we can move forward as people
The couple wants an apology from the man, but he has not been identified yet. The city got ahold of his license plates and found he is not a resident of Milpitas.
