Oakland Unified School District has yet to come to an agreement with unions on how it will do distance learning and when students and staff will be able to go back to campus. The state of California requires that districts provide 180 days of class and daily interaction between teachers an students. With Alameda County being on the COVID-19 state watchlist, it will not allow in person classes until it is removed from the list for 14 days. School for the Oakland Unified School District is said to start August 10.
