Napa County passed an emergency ordinance after cases went up the past couple of weeks. The ordinance will fine anyone who doesn't wear a mask outside in public and for people who hold public gatherings. The fines can be anywhere from $25 to $500. Businesses who fail to enforce face masks and social distancing guidelines can be fined for up to $5,000.
This ordinance will stay in place until Napa county will be removed from the states COVID-19 watch list.
