Mayor London Breed is allowing the San Francisco Zoo to reopen. On Monday, July 13, the zoo will open for member appreciation days and will hold the public opening on July 15. Online reservations and pre paid parking tickets are required.
The zoo will be allowed to operate with new safety procedures that require:
- mandatory face coverings
- online reservations
- hand sanitizer stations
- 50% capacity
- no cash will be accepted
Many other businesses including nail salons, tattoo shops, and indoor restaurants were supposed to open as well but were postponed after a number of COVID-19 cases went up. More information on the zoo reopening can be found here.
