Silicon Valley tech CEO Michael Lofthouse was kicked out of a restaurant in Carmel Valley after a racist rant. The Solid8 CEO went after a family as they were celebrating a birthday on the 4th of July at Lucia restaurant. Lofthouse yelled out explicit stuff against Asians but was quiet after he saw the phone.
The girl recording told him to repeat what he just said and was given the middle finger by Lofthouse who then said,
Trump's gonna f--- you. You f------ need to leave. You f------ Asian piece of s----.
An employee quickly intervened and was yelling at the man to get out.
Get out, you are not allowed here. You do not talk to our guests like that. They are invited guests. Get out!
Lofthouse has since issued an apology statement saying,
My behavior in the video is appalling. This was clearly a moment where I lost control and made incredibly hurtful and divisive comments. I would like to deeply apologize to the Chan family. I can only imagine the stress and pain they feel. I was taught to respect people of all races, and I will take the time to reflect on my actions and work to better understand the inequality that so many of those around me face every day
The family forgives him but they don't believe his words and believe he really meant what he said.
