San Francisco Unified School District is planning on renaming some of the schools that honor controversial people. Schools that would be renamed would include:
- Francis Scott Key Elementary
- Junipero Serra Elementary
- Washington High School
- John Muir Elementary
The school district is thinking of renaming one of the schools after San Francisco native Maya Angelou. The board meeting for the renaming of schools will be in July.
