Governor Gavin Newsom stated in his COVID-19 briefing that they are considering the new school year to begin as soon as July or August to makeup for loss of the previous school year. There is no definitive plan for schools. He also stated that California is now weeks away from modifying the stay at home order.
The four stages to reopen California are as follows:
Stage 1: Where we are right now
Stage 2: Start opening retails, offices, some public spaces like parks
Stage 3: Open higher risk areas; gyms, hair salons, sports without live audience, churches
Stage 4: Concerts, live audiences, convention centers
